- The bridge has 30 spans, including three navigation spans of 55 m each, with 27 spans being 35 m long.
- The carriageway is 7.5 m wide, with footpaths on both sides that are 1.5 m wide.
- Approach roads to the bridge will have a combined length of 650 m.
- The bridge will benefit approximately 15,000 residents of Perumbalam Island, the only island grama panchayat in Alappuzha district.
- The Perumbalam bridge work is being carried out by the Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society.
