ECI flags off International Election Visitors’ Programme 2025 Participants to witness Polling in Phase-I of Bihar Assembly Elections

1. The Election Commission of India (ECI) commenced the International Election Visitors’ Program (IEVP) 2025.
2. The IEVP 2025 was held at the India International Institute for Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi.
3. Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioner Dr. Vivek Joshi interacted with the participants.
4. 14 participants from 7 countries attended the inaugural session: France, South Africa, Belgium, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Colombia.
5. Participants received a demonstration of EVMs and a presentation on electoral roll preparation and election conduct.
6. The IEVP includes a two-day tour of Bihar from November 5-6, 2025, to observe EVM dispatch and polling on November 6, 2025.
7. The IEVP is a flagship program for international cooperation with Election Management Bodies (EMBs).
